I tested the binary-swap migration: unencrypted data survives a full stop-and-swap, and you can even roll back — but there is no rolling upgrade, encryption does not cross over, and three startup config items have to change. More than the feature list, the thing to watch is whether the open-source boundary gets walked back step by step.
